This is a letter we received recently from the leader of 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company SECFOR.

One of the primary ways H.J. Faltyn Detachment recruits for new members is through the distribution of our Detachment Brochure.  With easily available desktop publishing tools and a little creativity, your detachment can produce its own recruitment brochure.  The process doesn't need to be complicated or costly.  We have provided samples of our brochure here to illustrate how easy it can be.

We first assembled the pictures and text we wanted to use.  Then we used tools like Print Shop and MS Word to create eye-catching color schemes and layout designs.  We used an HP 6540 color inkjet printer with an 8.5x11 inch medium-weight card stock which we printed on both sides and tri-folded the resulting pages.  We typically attach a business card and then hand the brochure to a prospective member, or leave it on the windshield of a vehicle which displays Marine Corps decals.
